About Riziki Source
Riziki Source works to bridge the gap between talent and opportunity for persons with disabilities across Kenya. It runs three programmes:
- Jiandae supports jobseekers with disabilities with employability skills, career mentorship and job matching, through a mobile app and USSD.
- Boresha Ajira trains employers in disability inclusion, helps them recruit young people with disabilities and offers workplace accessibility audits.
- InuaBiz supports entrepreneurs with disabilities with business skills, market links, mentorship, pitch events, small grants and referrals to financial institutions.
What the summit is about
The Disability Employment Summit 2026 is Kenya's first summit dedicated solely to the employment of persons with disabilities. It is built around one question: how can everyone working in this space coordinate better to speed up employment for persons with disabilities in Kenya?
Riziki Source is the convenor and lead organiser, working with a range of stakeholders in disability and employment. The National Council for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD), a government agency, supports the summit as its technical and policy partner. The partnership grew out of meetings between the two institutions in May 2026, at NCPWD's offices and at Riziki Source's offices in Karen.
The summit brings together policymakers, employers, disability advocates and experts. Organisers promise:
- stories of people and employers who are making inclusive work happen
- discussions on the policies that shape employment for persons with disabilities
- practical workshops on skills and employability
- connections between jobseekers, employers and partners
Who should attend
Jobseekers and workers with disabilities: tools, knowledge and connections that can open doors to new opportunities, and a chance to be heard on the policies that affect you.
Employers and HR teams: practical ways to recruit, include and keep talented persons with disabilities.
Sponsors and partners: a chance to back a cause that matters for social justice and for a stronger, more diverse economy.
